At long last, the SpaceGat22 file drop is open to the public. Previously, this was released in beta through Deterrence Dispensed, and then released early to my Patreon subscribers. Now it's a free, public release for everyone! The files can be found here on my Odysee page. Be sure to always check out my Odysee page for my free file drops. Everything I release eventually goes there, but my All-Access and VIP subscribers on here get those files a month early.
Thank you all for your support!
I've learned that trying to install a picatinny front sight on the handguard is not a good idea with how the model currently is. The issue is with the humps on both sides just below the picatinny rail. While they do look good and I do like the 2 spikes at the back to help line it up when installing, those humps prevent the front sight from laying flat on the rail. They make the front sight sit a little higher and when tightening, causes front sight to sit at an angle since it's not sitting flat on the rail. I have tried a few different front sights, no luck so far. I have no issues with picatinny rear sight…
I found the file for your printable muzzle flash hider for this awesome SG22 and have tried printing it twice now. I'm having issues with it actually screwing on the threads of the CMMG barrel. It wants to cross-thread badly. I saw your advise on how to print it: "A linear compensator for the SpaceGat22 pistol design using a 4.5" CMMG barrel. Print at 8+ walls and 100% infill, PLA+, hot and slow. Face down on the bed and it'll print perfect." Because it's such a tight fit and won't go on straight, I figured it's because of a setting I'm not doing properly. Your help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Any info on if using the cmmg conversion bolt (the one made to fit a 5.56 chamber) and then a chopped down 5.56 barrel works with this design instead of the dedicated 22lr bolt/barrel?
Would there be any issues with a 9” barrel Fitting? 4.5” barrels are like hens teeth rn
Thank you again for sharing your hard work and the files. Did you solve the short magazine spring issue?
